My finished Magazine Cover.
This is my finished Magazine Cover, i took inspiration from other Pop magazines whilst designing and creating my own magazine. Other Pop magazines like 'Top Of The Pops' or 'Pop magazine'. My magazine is very vibrant and funky. I used the same house style throughout the magazine which consists of the colors Yellow,Pink and Blue. I chose these colors as they are very youthful and fit the theme amazingly.

Acting on feedback from my target audience.
After talking to members of my target audience, they didn't like the title of my magazine. They thought it looked too much and didn't look very 'POP'. Acting on this, i found a new font to replace my old title with and asked members of my target audience if they preferred it to the old title and they said yes.

Adding shapes onto my images
To make my magazine fit the pop theme more, i added some animated shapes onto them. I think this gives a funky vibe and makes the images more fun.

Editing one of my contents page images.
Some of my images were too dark to use on my contents page. To edit this i used the adjustment tool 'Brightness and Contrast' and i raised the brightness. This is the before and after of one of my images.
Before and After:
Before and After:
Contents page images
I used four images on my contents page of different models that are featured in the magazine. I applied a white box behind all images to give a Polaroid effect to them which i thought looked good. I also later applied some pop art like shapes such as a animated crown. These are the original images used on my contents page which i later edited.

Contents page style
When designing my contents page, i wanted to use my house style colors i used for my cover. I looked at a few Pop magazines and got some ideas, one magazine was the Top of the Pops contents page. I loved the full page and the messy vibrant look. I decided to use the some of the contents headings and the way the contents was organised.
Changing my Magazine title.

choosing my front cover photo
Choosing my front cover main image was time consuming this is because I found faults with all of the images I took the previous day. I wanted a image of Chanel and Chad on my front cover, however, all but four images had faults. When I finally chose out of the four images, I had to edit my main image using the colour picker tool and the colour replacement tool. Using these tools I replaced the green cast on Chads grey jumper by recoloring the full jumper a lighter grey. This worked well as Chads jumper was originally a dark charcoal colour as you would've seen on my previous post. I thought the lighter grey fitted my POP genre as the colour was lighter. The two other images which I could've used didn't work as well because they almost looked forced and I wanted the imagine to look as natural and real as possible.

Choosing my title colour
I chose a new title font from 1001 fonts. I played around with the colour and chose between two bright colours.
My colour theme is very vibrant and bright which fits in with the pop theme. My target audience is age 12-17 females. This colour scheme fits with my target audience because young teenage girls are associated with pink and purple and other girly colours. I chose the purple title as it looked better used with the blue and yellow and looked more visually appealing.

What products may be associated with my target audience
Replacing the green glare
I changed the colour of the jumper to get rid of the green glare as it was very noticeable. I used the colour picker tool to choose the colour grey then I used the colour replacement tool to replace the green glare.

How do you
feel about your new Album ‘Open Up’?
I feel like this album is different, it’s a lot more personal
than my previous ones, my fans can learn a lot about me from it. I wanted to
give my supporters a chance to really get to know me on a personal note. I’m
really excited for you all to hear it and I hope everyone loves it as much as I
do.
What’s the
latest with Chad?
Things are going very well in mine and Chad’s relationship.
We both support each other no matter what.
Do you
think your childhood was different due to fame?
Defiantly, one hundred percent. I didn’t have the typical
childhood, I spent my teenage years recording, writing, modelling etc. Whilst
other kids my age were out with friends or doing typical teenage things, I was
constantly working. I wouldn’t change my
childhood though.
Everyone’s different and everyone’s unique. I feel like my
fans can relate to me as my audience is young females. I hope I can be an inspiration
for them, I want my fans to feel like I’m their friend.
How do you
feel that your personal life is public? Does this cause any problems?
I think that me being an open book creates a better
relationship between me and my fans. I receive a lot of love and support if I
face an obstacle.
Are you
going to be touring any time soon?
I’d love to tour soon, you never know, that may be my next
move. You’ll just have to wait and see.

Q magazine Reader Profile
Q Magazine Reader Profile
Q media pack : https://beharallpoppy000022405.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/q-media-pack.pdf
A Reader profile is created so that the publishers and editors of the magazine can see the demographic of the audience. This is so they have an idea of what type of audience the magazine has so that they can produce content their audience will be interested in. From my research i found out that the median age for a Q magazine readers is 29 years old. Q’s audience is younger and more affluent than any other music monthly. Since the target audience for Q is young, brands like Adidas, Nike and Cosmopolitan magazine could be associated with the audience.
After doing my research using Questionnaires, I discovered my target audience is females aged 17-21.Because i know this, I can include articles that my target audience will be interested in. I will not include content aimed at children or content aged at the elderly or males.

Changing my magazine name.
I decided that my magazine name 'FOCUS' didn't fit with my Pop theme. I looked at other magazines and tried to find a different name and i decided to choose 'POP'. I chose 'POP' as its very catchy and simple, people would take one look at the magazine and know exactly what it was. I think 'POP' fitted with the colors as they're bright and pop out and catch the readers eye.

What i have learnt during my preliminary task
After creating my preliminary task, I have learnt many things to do with magazines. I have learnt about target audiences and how to address them. Since my preliminary task was to create a school magazine for Heworth Grange School my target audience was members of Heworth school, mostly students so my target age was 11-18. However, I have now learnt that my magazine would have had a secondary target audience of teachers/adults of the public. Now that I have learnt this, in future tasks i will be able to keep my secondary target audience in mind and also include content that is suitable for them. I have also learnt how to make images smaller/larger without stretching the image, this was negative feedback on my preliminary task as the images were stretched and the quality became distorted. I have also learnt about color schemes and house styles from my preliminary task, for my preliminary task i used a house style of colors that were associated with the school.
